Distribution Requirements

Washington College’s general education requirements (also known as “distribution”) consist of the writing program, and breadth courses across several disciplines. Together these ensure that students receive a balanced introduction to a variety of liberal arts and sciences.

Each student at Washington College must complete the same distribution requirements as their entering class cohort in order to graduate. The documents below articulate the distribution requirements for each currently active class at the College.
