Ways to Give

By giving today, you are investing in the future of higher education and helping to shape the next generation of thinkers, leaders, and innovators. Your donation plays a vital role in supporting our community—our students, faculty, and campus. Every gift makes a lasting impact.

There are many ways to make a difference in the lives of our students, from a simple online donation to a legacy gift that reflects your lifetime values.

Giving Options

Thousands of companies will match gifts to nonprofit organizations such as Washington College.

Contact your employer's human resources department to obtain a matching gift form. Please send completed paperwork to the College according to your employer's guidelines. We will do the rest.

Make a bigger impact over time with automatic, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, biannual, or annual payments.

To do so, fill out our Giving Form, select how much you would like to donate, and select a designated fund. Once you complete your contact information and payment details, you’ll select “Make this a recurring payment,” where you can choose the frequency of your gift.

For questions or concerns, please call 410-778-7801.

If you would like to make a gift of stock, wire transfer, or ACH, contact Marc Dykeman at 410-810-5059 or mdykeman2FREEwashcoll for simple instructions. Donating appreciated stock can offer the benefit of decreasing the burden of capital gains taxes.

Important to note:

  • A gift transaction is complete only when the stock is received in Washington College's account — not when you give your broker instructions to make the gift. You'll want to make sure the transfer is completed by your intended deadline.
  • For your protection, if you decide to mail physical stock certificates, please call our office for further instructions.

If you have a donor-advised fund, consider recommending Washington College for your next distribution! For information about setting up a fund and the tax advantages it could provide, contact your financial advisor.

Consider making arrangements to support the College through your estate plans – these gifts are incredibly thoughtful and can often make for an incredible impact beyond outright possibilities. Options include a simple gift via bequest, charitable gift annuities, appreciated securities, real estate, charitable lead trusts, and more.
