Submit a Class Note to the Washington College Magazine. Become a Volunteer and lend your skills to WC. Make your annual gift through WC’s secure online portalJoin an Alumni Chapter for regular get togethers, including the annual Toasts to George that take place all over the country. Get Your WC Gear through the campus bookstore. Nominate a fellow Alum for an Award. Meet a current student in your area through WC Voyagers.

  • Jordan Yelinek has been announced as Washington College’s 2015 winner of the Horizon Ribbon Award, given to a graduate of the last 15 years who has demonstrated outstanding leadership, service or scholarship in a particular area.
  • George T. Cromwell ’53, a real estate developer from Anne Arundel County who was one of Washington College’s most loyal and generous alumni, died of cardiac arrest Thursday, July 16, 2015, one day after his 85th birthday. At the time of his death, he was a resident of Rock of Ages assisted living facility in Rock Hall, Maryland. 
  • Commencement honored social activist David Mixner, Jordanian businessman Raouf Abujaber, and alumnus Charles Downs. The seniors also heard comedy from Class Speaker Rachel Dilliplane and a greeting from President-elect Sheila Bair.
  • Recognized for his outstanding advocacy for disabled persons, as well as his role as a civic leader and volunteer, Charles F. Downs ’59 has been appointed the Alumni Citation, the highest honor the Alumni Association can bestow upon its members.
