Major: Art and Art History and Anthropology

Currently, I am a conservation technician at the Library of Congress. I work with the conservators and preservation specialists at the Library to conserve and preserve items from the collection. I've worked on everything from assessing early Mesoamerican collections, to stabilizing a jumbled box of captured WWII Nazis broadcast transcripts, to treating an early 1950s neon movie poster.

Let’s Hear It for the Liberal Arts

I made good connections with the networking opportunities I had while at Washington College and the Explore America internships I had my last two summers really solidified and expanded those connections.

Advice

Don't be afraid of reaching out to people and asking questions, you can't make connections without putting your foot forward. The worst that can happen is they don't respond, but in my experience most are happy to help.
