    Major: Business Management
    Minors: Marketing, Studio Art

I work as a user experience (UX) designer at the Accenture Federal Digital Studio. There I collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver empowering user experiences for various federal clients. My work is informed by research and fueled by creativity, which is perfect for my left and right brain. (I mean, I did minor in both Marketing and Art after all...!)

When I'm not designing digital products or apps, you can likely find me expressing my creativity through various means: crafting mixed media projects, scouring clothing racks for a unique vintage find, or walking the streets with a camera in hand.

    Favorite Professor

Within the Business Department: Professor Eanes. Starting with his Social Media Marketing class, he indulged my business interests and eventually guided them through my senior thesis, which only now do I realize includes a chapter about UX design's impact on the fashion industry.

Outside of the Business Department: Professor Eckelman. She took me under her wing and gave me the chance to fly in the Theater Department in the form of costume design. Her class, Introduction to Theatrical Design, actually imparted foundations I rely on to this day.

    Fondest WC Memory

I loved working as both a Costume Designer and Costume Shop Manager throughout my senior year. During this time, I had the opportunity to hone my craft amongst other creatives while mentoring junior designers. Plus, introducing new joiners to Jo-Jo the Elevator, Blue Baby, and other (admittedly zany) departmental knowledge is always a thrill.

    Advice

Jump in. Ask questions. Learn as much as you can. Breathe. Venture outside your major. Pick up a new hobby or two. Dive deep. Learn from others. Learn from within. Explore. Get comfortable with the uncomfortable. Study abroad. Have fun. These four years are going to go by fast, so make the most of them!
