New International Student Checklist

Welcome to Washington College! We are glad to have you as part of our vital international community. You will join and participate in a community of students and faculty where we value global experiences and intercultural learning!

Use this checklist to keep yourself on track for preparing to arrive on campus in the fall. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to us at geoFREEwashcoll. 

Preliminary Steps 

  1. Claim your account! (set up user ID and password) (All students)
  2. Access Washington College email www.outlook.com/washcoll.edu (All students)
  3. Apply for student visa (All students)

Beginning May 1 

  1. Complete Housing Forms by May 31 (All students)
  2. You'll receive a link to register for “Bird's Eye View” Summer Advising or set up an appointment to select courses after May 5 (F1 students)
  3. Take Placement Exams by June 4 (F1 students)
  4. Summer Advising Course Selection Worksheet by June 14. (F1 students)
  5. Review washcoll.edu/new and monitor email for details on items that need to be completed over the summer
  6. Financial Responsibility Form by June 21 (All students)
  7. Parent/Guardian Information Release Form (FERPA) (All students)
  8. Complete Health Forms by July 15 (All students)
  9. Online Orientation, Honor Code, Bill Payment, and GEO Arrival Information Form by August 1 (All students)
  10. Focus 2 by August 16 (F1 students)
  11. Move-in in August (All students)
