Innovative Leadership Seminar
Rethink what it means to lead.
This seven-week online seminar goes beyond leadership traits, styles, or personality tests. Instead, it positions leadership as inquiry that sparks action—a disciplined practice of asking thoughtful questions that generate insight and drive meaningful change.
Drawing from classical texts, contemporary research, and leadership portraits across eras and cultures, this course helps participants develop not just practical skills, but a coherent personal philosophy of leadership grounded in inquiry, moral courage, and strategic awareness.

Who Should Enroll
This seminar is ideal for professionals, educators, and lifelong learners seeking
to deepen their leadership practice. Whether you lead teams, organizations, or initiatives,
you’ll walk away with a stronger sense of purpose and the tools to lead with clarity
and courage.
What You’ll Learn
By the end of the seminar, you will leave with:
- A clearly articulated personal leadership philosophy
- A suite of research-based tools and practices tailored to your unique approach
- Deeper clarity about yourself, your team, and your environment
- A renewed sense of purpose and efficacy in your leadership
Course Format
Each week combines independent study with a live 75-minute session designed for connection and collaboration. Participants should plan for 2–4 hours of reading to ground discussion, followed by a pre-class activity shared on Canvas to spark peer exchange. After each session, a short skill-builder helps apply insights in practice. Live sessions begin with an EQ check-in, move into reflections on pre-class activities, and then dive into the readings through both detailed analysis and big-picture takeaways. Sessions close with preparation for the post-class skill-builder and a warm send-off. Creative variations in discussion and activities are always welcome to keep the learning experience dynamic.
Working Together
This seminar is built on shared inquiry and mutual contribution. Come prepared by completing the readings, post your weekly reflections to Canvas in time for others to engage, and offer thoughtful comments on at least three peers’ submissions. Active participation in live sessions is essential, as we learn not only from the texts but also from one another’s perspectives. While private submissions are possible, the seminar thrives when ideas are shared openly.
Responsible AI Use

Coaching Lab: Inquiry in Action
Participants can schedule an optional 30-minute 1:1 or 2:1 session with executive advisor John Boochever to align their career goals with our core practice: inquiry that sparks action. Bring one key question—whether it’s about a role decision, a stakeholder challenge, or a growth pivot. During the session, you’ll map your context, refine the questions that matter most as a leader, and identify your next experiment or conversation.
