Mighty Match Day
Your student club or organization has the opportunity to be featured as part of Mighty
Match Day 2023.
The Office of Advancement runs Mighty Match Day, a virtual/social media driven giving
day, each October. To increase the visibility of student clubs and organizations,
support a culture of philanthropy on campus, and assist in your funding, they are
offering three groups the chance to be featured on Mighty Match Day and compete to
win up to $1,000 for your student org.
To enter this process, please complete the form on this page. The goal is to propose
a project or funding goal, valued at up to $2,500, for your organization and make
the case for support. Your case should clearly outline the need, whether you'd like
to fund a trip, event, purchase — anything within your club's mission.
The selection will be made based on strength of vision, level of impact, and the influence
of said funding towards supporting an inclusive and welcoming campus community.
This year's Mighty Match Day is Thursday, October 26. The deadline for submissions
will be EOD Monday, October 16. The selected projects will be announced Wednesday,
October 18 and will be asked to partner with Advancement Staff to create a video and
social media strategy for Mighty Match Day the following week. Each project will be
positioned as a crowdfunding opportunity, so donations will roll in that day regardless
of prize money. The project with the most donors will receive $1,000. The 2nd place project will receive $500 and the 3rd will receive $250.
