Listening and Performance Opportunities for Everyone
In addition to co-sponsoring 12@Hotchkiss The Music Department presents a variety of student and professional performances, as well as ambitious collaborations between our students and noted soloists. The Music Department supports a variety of chamber music ensembles, world music groups, a Jazz Ensemble, Chorus, Symphonic Band, and String Orchestra. Regardless of your major, everyone is welcome to make music with us! The Music Department welcomes students from all majors to participate in our ensemble and applied music (private instruction) programs. We serve an enormous percentage of Washington College students. In addition to our courses, we offer private music instruction for credit and a plethora of ensembles that anyone can join.
