Weekly test counts
Data reflects only tests administered by Washington College Health Services. Bar chart includes total number of tests per week, further broken down to indicate tests within the student population (red) and staff/faculty (gray). The student testing includes students living both on- and off-campus.

Positivity rate
This chart provides positive case counts by week, further broken down by positive cases among students (red) and positive cases among staff/faculty (gray) resulting from testing done by Washington College Health Services. The overall positivity rate is calculated using the total number of tests administered by WC Health Services each week, compared to the total number of positive cases. This rate will fluctuate as positive cases clear isolation.

Q and I counts
This data reflects the total number of students that are in isolation and quarantine at the time of reporting. These numbers will fluctuate as students clear quarantine and isolation. These counts include both on- and off-campus students.
Q and I room counts
This pie chart indicates on campus available capacity for Quarantine and Isolation housing

Quarantine & Isolation Counts

Students living off-campus who are required to enter quarantine or isolation may do so off-campus or they may request a move to the designated on-campus Q&I space.

Students who test positive and can safely travel and isolate at home will be allowed to do so. Any student who returns home for isolation will not be included in these counts.

What is meant by Isolation?

If a member of the Washington College community tests positive for COVID-19, they are required to isolate for at least 10 days and monitor for symptoms. If symptoms persist, the isolation period could extend beyond 10 days. They can isolate in the designated on-campus isolation housing, or return home (if it is safe to do so). Students can clear isolation when WHAT HAS TO HAPPEN?

What is meant by Quarantine?

If a member of the Washington College community is determined to have had close contact with any individual who tests positive for COVID-19 they are required to quarantine for 14 days and monitor for symptoms. Quarantine can be done in-place or within the designated on-campus quarantine housing. WHO will work with any community members who are identified as close contacts to determine the appropriate quarantine plan.

What is Close Contact?

Close contact means that the individual was closer than 6’ for more than 15 minutes.
