Seniors often work on SCEs under my direction on topics related to American foreign policy, especially about US-East Asia relations such as the rise of China, managing North Korea, and US allies and strategy. In addition, seniors have worked with me on a wide range of topics related to East Asia such as on evolving gender norms, ethnic conflict, trade policy, different varieties of democracies and authoritarian regimes. Topics related to intelligence collection/agencies and national security broadly also have been popular topic areas on which I have advised SCE projects.
