Our Broadsides
The Literary House Press publishes an annual series of broadsides featuring the work of visiting writers. Previous broadsides have featured the work of Daniel Handler, Ted Kooser, Jane Smiley, and Natasha Trethewey, among others. Beginning in 2013, the Literary House Press also began publishing an annual broadside series to commemorate the AWP Conference. This series is a collaboration with a nationally-recognized literary magazine from each year’s host city.
Broadsides for 2014-2015
During our 2014-2015 academic calendar, we will print letterpress broadsides to commemorate readings by poet-essayists Mark Doty and Maggie Nelson, and poet-translator Benjamin Paloff. As part of a collaboration with Water~Stone Review, a nationally-recognized literary journal, the Literary House Press will publish a special letterpress broadside featuring a recently-printed poem from the journal to celebrate the 2015 AWP Conference in Minneapolis.
And finally, to celebrate the launch of our first trade paperback, The Book of Scented Things, we will print a special-edition letterpress broadside of one poem selected from the new anthology: “Why My Father Smells Like the Night,” by Bruce Snider.
Copies of available broadsides may be purchased by contacting Owen%20Bailey.
