Making a Gift of Securities
You may ask your broker to transfer the shares electronically from your account to the College’s gift account at Alex.Brown (A Division of Raymond James), Baltimore:

To ensure proper crediting of this gift without delay, you must contact the Washington College Advancement Office with the following information:
(1) the donor’s name, (2) the name of the stock(s), (3) the number of shares to be transferred, and (4) intended gift purpose before transferring the stock.
Important to note:
- A gift transaction is complete only when the stock is received in Washington College’s account — not when you give your broker instructions to make the gift. You’ll want to make sure the transfer is completed by your intended deadline.
- For your protection, if you decide to mail physical stock certificates, please call our office for further instructions.
