Student Awards and Honors

The Constance Stuart Larrabee Scholarship for the Arts

Incoming students with proven talent in visual art, music, dance, or theatre are encouraged to submit a portfolio of work to compete for the Constance Stuart Larrabee Scholarship. Larrabee scholarships are renewable for up to four years, provided the recipient maintains a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0. Recipients are strongly encouraged to participate in campus opportunities related to the visual and performing arts, but do not need to declare a major or minor in the arts in order to keep this scholarship.

Awards

Lynette Nielsen Juror's Choice Award  

Awarded annually by an invited guest juror, the award is given to the artist presenting the most outstanding work of art in the Senior Capstone Exhibition. 

Lynette Nielsen Professional Practice Award  

Awarded annually by the department faculty to the studio art senior who demonstrates the most engaged, dedicated, and consistent creative practice over the course of the SCE year.  

Art History Award  

Presented annually to acknowledge excellence in the field of art history.
