Makerspace

The IDEAWORKS Makerspace extends the digital creative capabilities of Academic Technology by allowing users to design and fabricate items using modern digital tools, as well as traditional fabrication methods. Embracing the power of the Maker Culture, the Makerspace provides access to training and tools such as 3D Printers, laser cutting and etching, electronics prototyping, sewing, digital embroidery, sublimation printing, vinyl cutters,  traditional fabrication tools, and more.

How do I get started at IDEAWORKS?

Ideaworks is open M, W, F 1pm-5pm and T, TH 1pm-7pm.  Stop by and  Makerspace Consultants will help you get started. You'll watch a series of safety training videos (15 mintues) to get your Maker Card which helps you keep track of the machines you are trained to use (and a fun way to track your maker-progress!). From there, Makerspace Consultants will help you get started with the machines, technologies and processes you'll need to let your creativity take flight.
