Adrienne Kraus Latanishen

Adrienne Kraus Latanishen has been a lecturer for the Department of Theatre and Dance at Washington College since 2025. She is a professional dancer, choreographer, and educator from Baltimore, Maryland who graduated with honors from both The Community College of Baltimore County and The University of Maryland with degrees in Dance. She danced professionally for Trajectory Dance Project (dancer and principal dancer), Molly Jeak Kirkup Heer (soloist and principal dancer), BlueShift Dance (soloist, principal dancer and choreographer), The Collective (soloist, choreographer and educator), B3W (understudy), Andary Dance (dancer and principal dancer), withhart.dance.projects (assistant director, founding member, soloist and principal dancer), and independently. She's been cast in a commercial and 2 music videos, one of which she choreographed as well. Adrienne was Director of Dance at St. Timothy's School, a private boarding and international high school for girls, and Artist in Residence at Patapsco High School and Center for the Arts for several years. At The Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC), she's been adjunct dance faculty and choreographed for the dance company since 2015. In 2022, she also became Coordinator of Performing Arts for Continuing Education at CCBC. She's been teaching and choreographing for over 25 years for various programs and organizations including Chesapeake College's Theater Program, Baltimore Composers Forum, and Maryland Opera Camp. AKL served Baltimore County as the Chair of the Performing Arts Subcommittee for the Baltimore County Commission on Arts and Sciences. She was made a teaching artist for the Carole Cascio Fund for Mind Movement Dance Connections in 2022 which aims to bring more dance experiences and education to Maryland's Eastern Shore while also supporting the Dance Program at CCBC. This upcoming school year, Adrienne will serve Maryland's Fine Arts Advisory Panel.
