Eastern Shore Guitar Festival Classical Guitar Young Artist Competition!

Our youth solo guitar competition will be held in two categories: Division I (Grades 9-12) and Division II (Grades 8 and under).  Participants in both categories must purchase All-Inclusive Festival Passes (Competitor) to enter competition.  

Division I

Solo guitar competition open to all students grades 9-12.  Free choice classical repertoire up to 7 minutes in duration (timed from the first note played).  One round.  Competitors will be stopped without penalty if maximum allotted time is exceeded.  Judges decisions are final.  Prizes are as follows:

1st prize - $200 + special award package & certificate

2nd prize - $100 & certificate

3rd prize - $100 & certificate

Division II

Solo guitar competition open to all students grades 8 and under.  Free choice classical repertoire up to 5 minutes in duration (timed from the first note played).  One round.  Competitors will be stopped without penalty if maximum allotted time is exceeded.  Judges decisions are final.  Prizes are as follows:

1st prize - $100 + special award package & certificate

2nd prize - $75 & certificate

3rd prize - $75 & certificate
