Intern Experiences: Justin Nash

Justin is an English major with minors in Journalism, Editing and Publishing, Communication and Media Studies, and Art and Art History. In addition to being very involved in Washington College's student-run publications, he is currently a remote intern for 24PearlStreet (the online writing program of the Fine Arts Work Center).

 

At 24PearlStreet, Justin's duties include workshop administration, testing and design of a new online learning platform, student and faculty feedback management, troubleshooting and tech support, peer institution research, and general program assessment. 

Justin says that "the internship with 24PearlStreet exposed me to a different side of writing—one focused on education rather than publishing— and allowed me to nurture previously acquired skills in a new environment with unique goals.

Following his internship with 24PearlStreet, Justin was a offered a consulting position with the Fine Arts Work Center to continue working on their new online learning platform, which has since led to work in marketing and even teaching a class!
