At Delaware Today Magazine, Olivia wrote weekly stories for the online magazine, created additional articles for the monthly print issues, and assisted members of the editorial team with any supplemental assignments.
Olivia's intern experience taught her how to apply her educational experience in journalism to a real-world and professional setting. She says that "Despite being physically distant from the office, I was able to not only construct and maintain relevant relationships with professional journalists within the publication, but also to virtually connect with individuals throughout the state, and further strengthen ties within the larger community—all while improving upon the skills necessary to properly tell narratives that both feature and spotlight underrepresented individuals within the larger world."
