Visiting

Come experience Washington College first-hand. It’s the best way to find out if we’re the perfect place for you.

Attend an Open House, eat in the Dining Hall, talk to faculty and students, and let one of our student ambassadors take you on a tour of campus and help you start a self-guided tour of our waterfront facilities and our downtown.

Washington College’s main campus is located on Washington Avenue in historic Chestertown. The College’s 18th-century structures—Custom House, the Patrick Henry House, and the Hynson-Ringgold House—are near the foot of High Street, on the Chester River. The Truslow Boathouse, home to the crew and sailing teams, is just downriver.

The streets of Chestertown’s waterfront district were alive with colonial spirit December 8 during the Holiday House Tour. The tour benefited two local schools and included three College properties: Hynson-Ringgold House, the Custom House, and the Patrick Henry House. First Lady Elisabeth Reiss was one of the chief organizers of the event.
