Prevention Education and Advocacy

Who We Are

Wellness Educators (WE) is a student organization that educates and empowers students around areas of wellness. WE present in-class programs, facilitate table activities, and partners with other student organizations for large-scale campus events. WE addresses topics of positive body image/self esteem, bystander intervention, and stress management, among other areas of wellness.


Application Process and Training:

WE will be accepting applications starting: February 15th-February 29th. Current WE members or their advisor, Lauren Gibson, will contact you to set up interviews. Applicants will be notified after interviews of their status.

Training is mandatory for all WE members. Training will consist of a 2 day (Saturday and Sunday) in late March/April. Training is essential and will include information on health and wellness, presentation skills, referral process, and program development.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for passionate, engaged, and dedicated students are invested in educating their peers in areas of wellness! WE provides in classroom, in residence hall, interactive programs. WE serves as advocates for social change.

If you:

  • Are passionate about wellness/health/bystander intervention/positive body promotion/etc;
  • Are comfortable speaking in front of your peers and others;
  • Can think outside the box;
  • Are Committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment;
  • Have time in your schedule to commit to regular meetings and volunteering for programs;
