Set Your Course

For Academic Success

Sail through your first year of college with flying colors by setting your course early! This intense seminar is designed to introduce students to practical, meta-cognitive study skills that can be directly applied to any course at Washington College: skills such as goal setting, time management, deep reading, note-taking, and test preparation. Students will work closely with several peer leaders to unlock the secrets to college success through a series of highly-interactive experiences including a day of team and confidence-building activities at the Echo Hill Outdoor School. There will also be opportunities for students to learn how to fully integrate newly-acquired study skills into their college lives through the use of cutting-edge technologies. This program is limited to 16 participants, first come, first served.
