Hours, Location, and Collection
Built in 1970 and renovated in 2012, Miller Library is located at the heart of the Washington College campus. The library is home to hundreds of thousands of research materials, as well as Sophie’s Cafe, Academic Technology offices, Office of Academic Skills, Quantitative Skills Center, and the College archives.
We are open 7 days a week; visitors must have a Washington College ID card to enter the building after 6 p.m.

Sunday 10 a.m. - Midnight Monday 8 a.m. - Midnight Tuesday 8 a.m. - Midnight Wednesday 8 a.m. - Midnight Thursday 8 a.m. - Midnight Friday 8 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. Saturday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
During open hours WC ID required for entrance after 6 p.m.
To return books when the library is closed, please use the book drop by the back door of the library.
Books, Videos, DVDs: More than 150,000 circulating volumes, 1,290 videos, and 1200 DVDs
Periodicals & Newspapers: 1,100 non-circulating print subscriptions; 29,000 electronic subscriptions
U.S. Government Documents: Selective depository for Federal documents; approximately 50,000 print documents
Reference: Dictionaries, encyclopedias, bibliographies, non-circulating
Student Theses: Over 4,000 student theses since 1992; theses since 2007 available online
Maryland: Local towns and counties, state materials; collection divided into reference, circulating, and non-circulating
