Library & Academic Technology

The IDEAWORKS Innovation Suite is comprised of three adjacent rooms located on the lower level of Miller Library.

The Multimedia Production Center (MPC) is equipped with dedicated multimedia workstations and software you can use for both class and personal projects.  Our Loaner Pool of equipment gives you access to the tools you’ll need to get out in the field and capture your subjects.

The IDEAWORKS Makerspace extends your digital design capabilities from the MPC and allows you to create tangible prototypes, products, and works of art.  Our 3D printers, laser cutter, and various fabrication tools allow you to work with a variety of materials.  Electronics prototyping capabilities let you bridge the gap between atoms and bits.

Our Sound Studio is equipped with a custom One Button Studio kiosk we’ve developed to enable you to create professional studio quality video with the push of a button.  Overhead microphone and adjustable light panels are ready to go - just bring your USB thumb drive and your ideas you want to present!  In the Sound Studio you will also find an iMac with a desktop condenser mic, perfect for recording voiceover audio for your video productions.  Lastly, our faculty have access to an ISDN transceiver and headset mics for convenient connectivity for media interviews between classes.
