Clinic Information

Health & Counseling Services sets up and hosts a variety of clinics and events through out the year. Some clinics are free while others are at low cost.

Here are some upcoming clinics!

Free STI/STD Testing

The Kent County Health Department is offering free sexually transmitted infections/diseases testing to Washington College students.

When: November 7th from 9am-Noon

How: Call to book an appointment

Where: Health Services

What you need to know: urine test (no needles!)

Drug Take Back

Health and Counseling staff will be partnering with the Kent County Office of Prevention to supply drug disposal pouches and information.

These pouches can be disposed of in the convenience of your own home

The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day addresses a crucial public safety and public health issue. According to the 2016 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, 6.2 million Americans misused controlled prescription drugs. The study shows that a majority of abused prescription drugs were obtained from family and friends, often from the home medicine cabinet.

The DEA’s Take Back Day events provide an opportunity for Americans to prevent drug addiction and overdose deaths.

When: October 25th 11am-1pm

Free HIV Testing

Health services is offering a day of free HIV testing to Washington College Students

When: Monday December 3rd 9am-12pm & 1pm-4pm

How: Call to book an appointment

Where: Health Services

What you need to know: mouth swab (no needles!), do not eat or drink anything 30 minutes prior to appointment

Emotional Support Dogs

Counseling services are bringing some fluffy snuggles to help take the stress off! We have two dogs who are part of our WAC family:

Puck: He visits downstairs of Hodson every 2nd & 4th Tuesday of the month for 12pm-1pm

Gryff: Our newest member, visits the downstairs of Hodson the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of the month from 12:30-1:30

Both pups will be joining us for other events on campus as well, be on the look at for emails with “Puck” or “Gryff” in the subject line!
