Amanda joined Miller Library in July 2019. As the Director of Public Services, she oversees research services and instruction, as well as circulation and Interlibrary Loan (ILL) services.
Amanda has worked in libraries for more than ten years. Her first position was as the ILL Coordinator at Simmons College, and she then spent time working for the federal government outside Washington DC. She was most recently the Access Services Supervisor at George Washington University.
Amanda’s areas of interest include library ethics, patron privacy, progressive and critical librarianship, and intellectual freedom. When she’s not at work, she enjoys reading, spending time with her family, and visiting breweries around Maryland.
