Richard Yost

Class of 2004
Major/Minor: American Studies

Richard Yost graduated from Washington College in 2004 with a B.A. in American Studies. He played lacrosse and was elected captain of the team during his senior year.

Upon graduation, Mr. Yost earned a M.A. from George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management. Mr. Yost currently works in BGE’s Strategic Communications Group in addition to running his own communications consulting firm, Watershed Public Relations.

Previously, he worked as a Director for the Washington, D.C. based public relations firm, Xenophon Strategies. While there he managed client accounts in the energy, transportation and health care industries. Mr. Yost also worked on Capitol Hill in Senator Chuck Schumer’s press office.

In addition to co-chairing the Alumni Alliance, Mr. Yost spent four years on Washington College’s Sho’men Club Board. He lives in Baltimore with his wife and two sons.
