Sarah Graff

Class of 2018
Major/Minor: History/Theatre

Sarah Graff will be graduating in December 2017 as a history major with a theatre minor. She is the head Archives Assistant in the Washington College Archives and Special Collections in Miller Library. Sarah hopes to pursue a Master’s Degree in Library Science once she graduates from Washington College.

In addition to her passion for archives and preserving old records, she is a talented Stage Manager for Theatre Department Productions. She recently sound designed for Aladdin dell’arte, and stage-managed for Silent Sky.

Outside of the archives and theatre department, Sarah is currently serving as the Vice-President of the Cater Society of Junior Fellows. She was recently highlighted in an article about a collection in the archives that Sarah processed. More recently, Sarah presented to the Friends of the Miller Library as one of the research award recipients about said collection.


Sarah has also presented at the ACRL conference in Baltimore, Maryland about Augmented Archives, a collaborative project with Dr. Heather K. Calloway and Raven Bishop. She also presented on a panel at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Archives Conference (MARAC) in Annapolis, Maryland in November 2016.

Sarah is forever grateful for the opportunities that she has been presented with at WAC. Her favorite part of Washington College is that she gets to work in the College Archives everyday and looking through the treasures hidden amongst the shelves.
