Jackelyn is a History major and Secondary Education minor and also the co-president and co-founder of Washington College’s Historical Society. She is originally from Damascus, Maryland. She plans on becoming a teacher after she finishes her academic pursuits. In the summer of 2013, she served as a Comegys Bight Fellow at the Historian’s Office of the United States House of Representatives as a research intern. She is a Goofellow scholar that allowed her to do research for her thesis on the British Mandate for Palestine at the Imperial War Museum in London, England. Jackelyn plans on going to grad school and become a high school history teacher after graduation.
