Raquel Gómez Fernández

Major/Minor: Major: Political Science (Concetration: Latin American Politics) Minor: History

Raquel studied abroad at the Pontificia Universidade de Rio de Janeiro in Brazil for six months. In Rio de Janeiro, she volunteered at the Elementary School Stella Maris, where she taught English.

She also participated in the Washington Center program in Washington, D.C. for the 2015 Spring semester. During this time, she interned, at Vital Voices Global Partnership, at the Latin American VV GROW program, a, NGO that works towards gender equality.

In the Summer of 2015, she interned at the Embassy of Ecuador in Washington D.C., where she worked in the Political Affairs, and for the Cultural and Communication Affairs Attachés.
