Meredith Davies Hadaway M’96

Writer in Residence

Meredith is the new Rose O’Neill Writer-in-Residence at the Rose O’Neill Literary House. As part of her residency, she will teach a creative writing course called Ecopoetry: Writing on Water during the Fall 2013 semester and an additional creative writing course in Spring 2014 at Washington College. She will also serve as a mentor for student poets.

Campus Involvement

A poet and harpist who has performed in the United States and Ireland, Meredith’s second poetry collection, The River is a Reason, was issued from Word Press in 2011. Her earlier collection, Fishing Secrets of the Dead, was a Word Press First Book selection in 2005. Meredith is also an Instructor in English at Washington College. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts and Master of Arts in psychology from Washington College.
