Diane McCormick

Class of 1963

My journey post Washington College has been quite a traditional one - marriage, family, career.

After completing my first year teaching, Jim and I were Married in August 1964.  we have a daughter, Dawn and a son James. We have lived in several different locations, but spent twenty-eight years living in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area.  Naturally, after being near Pittsburgh for such a long time, we are Steelers fans.  I restarted my teaching career after staying home with my children and had a busy and challenging time as a high school English teacher.  After my husband and I retired we re-located to Chester Springs, PA in order to be closer to our three extraordinary grandchildren.  We are thoroughly enjoying our time with them, and, for us, we have come back to our “home” territory as Jim and I are both from Philadelphia originally.  No chance of becoming Eagles fans however.  I am looking forward to seeing old friends and the new additions to the campus as well as exploring Chestertown which appears to have remained as charming as it was when we graduated.

My WC Memory:

Too many great memories to select one.
