What do you do for a campus job or work study?

I work as an assistant in the Campus Events Office. I’m also a Peer Mentor, which has been one of the biggest highlights of my time at WAC!

Have you had any internship, research or study abroad experiences?

I just finished up my semester abroad at the University of St Andrews in Scotland! After leaving Scotland, I did a lot of traveling around Europe, ending my trip at the University of Oxford in England for a program with Washington College’s Institute for Religion, Politics, and Culture. Living and studying abroad was the most rewarding experience of my life thus far!

Why did you choose your major?

I have always loved to read and write, so English just made the most sense for me!

What should every student do before they graduate?

There’s a restaurant up the street from Chestertown in Rock Hall called Waterman’s that everyone should try. It’s right on the water, and they make a life-changing crabby chicken sandwich. It also gives you the perfect Maryland/ Eastern Shore experience. Every student should also check out the farmer’s market in Chestertown. It’s such a neat way to bring the community together.

What is your favorite spot on campus?

My favorite place on campus is Gibson, since that’s where the music department is. And whenever I’m heading to Gibson, it usually means I’m going to sing, which is always my saving grace!
