Amanda is a senior Environmental Studies and Anthropology double major, Hispanic Studies minor from Centreville, MD. She is also Captain of the WC IHSA Hunt Seat Equestrian Team and teaches ballet and pointe for the WC Dance Club. Amanda’s interest in GIS stems from the environmental applications she researched while in the Intro to GIS course, which she took in the Fall of 2011. This is her second year working in the WC GIS Lab and she is now at the Journeyman level. Some of the projects that she has worked on in the lab are the Nutrient GIS and Choptank environmental investigations, both of which involved extensive digitizing and land use/land cover classification efforts.
