What does WAC mean to you?

Washington College is a community. It is the place that I’ve called home for the last two years. Washington College is so much more to me than just a school with classrooms and sporting events. It is a place where I have been challenged to be my best in both academic and social settings.

Why did you choose your major?

I always knew I wanted do something with science and being a doctor and working in research definitely topped the list. I decided to double major because the research project I have been working on for the last 2 summers really peaked my interest in environmental issues.

Favorite Chestertown Hangout:

Evergrain is definitely one of my favorite places to grab lunch and study or work on a paper.

Favorite thing to order at The Cove:

Grilled Cheese!

Favorite way to procrastinate:

Definitely napping! I can’t study in my room or else I end up taking long naps.

What are you doing this summer? / What are you looking forward to?

I am doing pesticide research with Dr. Van Meter here on campus. I am also going horseback riding for fun this summer and helping out at the local rescue barn! I also waitress at a New Jersey Yacht Club on the weekends. This summer, I completed a 2 week study abroad in Bermuda in June! It was my first time out of the country and I got to see some awesome fish and unique coral reefs. I am so excited to meet the new incoming class and the newest addition to the Washington College community!
