Q & A
Hometown and high school? Frederick, MD; Tuscarora High School.
Favorite place around Washington College? My favorite place in Chestertown easily has to be the Waterfront and Wilmer Park. I love going down and sitting by the water on a nice day to do work or hang out with friends.
First year experience/advice? The biggest mistake I made my freshman year was probably not utilizing my professors more. You should never be afraid to ask your professors questions, especially for help. They definitely want to see you succeed!
Favorite ’90s Song? My favorite ’90s song has to be “Groove Is In The Heart” from Dee-lite!!!
Favorite class? Shakespeare with Professor Kathryn Moncrief. I really enjoyed learning a lot more about Shakespeare and reading some of his works that I hadn’t read before. It was a great class!
Recommended professor? Garry Clarke! “G. Clarke” is THE MAN! I loved his Music Theory class and working with him in the WC Vocal consort.
Most memorable experience as a first-year student? Playfair… You’ll see, just wait!
If you could be a condiment, which one would you be and why? Old Bay (the greatest thing Maryland has to offer except Old Bay on crabs themselves) because I like to spice things up!
If you had a superpower, what would it be and why? The power to fly. I think it would be awesome to fly everywhere and anywhere you wanted to!
Future plans? After college, I plan on either joining to Foreign Service with the US State Department or going on to get my masters degree.
