My name is Edward Hoegg and I am the President of the Student Events Board at Washington College for the 2010-11 school year. Prior to being the SEB president I was the Program Production Intern for the OSA, a position that allowed me to work closely with the SEB and to gain valuable insight on how the organization works. While I have an extensive background in programming I have a stronger past in learning/running lighting and sound for various productions including 400 plus events for WAC since coming here. Starting next year I will also be an Event Manager for the Gibson Center for the Performing Arts which is a way for me to continue running lighting and sound for productions at WAC. As anyone reading this can tell I have a strong passion for Lighting and sound and work constantly to enhance my skills and to teach others what I know. I hope that my experience can allow the SEB to bring different bigger acts to the campus and that the Programmers can use me as a resource in this field during the next year. While I hope that I can teach others more about my passion I hope to learn different leadership skills and to work with a truly gifted group of people to throw an even more diverse events that different groups on campus can be interested in and excited about. In school I am a Chemistry major with a Drama minor. Out side of school I am an Eagle Scout from Troop 107 and continue to help the troop in my free time. I am also a huge Arizona Cardinals fan although I have never traveled west of the Appalachians. Other than that I urge everyone on campus to get involved in the SEB and to join a committee so that your voice can be heard in our organization.
