Brenna Doyle

After graduating, I spent a year in New York City, the Hamptons, upstate New York, and Connecticut where I lived The Nanny Diaries, studied for the GREs, and tried to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. In 2008 I enrolled in University of Maryland’s School of Public Health. I worked for a year as a Lecturer in the undergraduate program teaching classes in Adult Health and Gerontology. As a part of my Master’s degree requirement, I interned at the National Institutes of Health in the Clinical Center hospital. It was a happy surprise when I shared an office with WC classmate Mark Stevens! Since 2009 I’ve worked at the American Institutes for Research in the Health Policy & Research division and I love it! We have offices in Georgetown, Silver Spring, Chapel Hill, and San Mateo- if any students are interested in a summer internship, please e-mail me!

I always loved travelling, but my Study Abroad experience in Paris taught me how to do so on a budget! Since graduating I’ve taken 7 big trips, visiting England, Scotland, Wales, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Russia, Finland, Sweden, Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, the British Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Turks & Caicos, the Bahamas, Alaska, Canada, and France twice!

One perk of Maryland living is running into fellow WAC Alums in the street, at Panera, and at weddings of mutual friends!  Also, if you have a George license plate, I am the Black Jetta who always waves! Can’t wait to see everyone at the reunion!
