Spring 2011 Update
After a fabulous four years at Washington College full of more memories than can be listed here, Julie decided to take her show on the road. The first stop on the tour was Jacksonville, FL, and a career in Information Technology that included Quality Assurance/Audit Engineering, Project Management and Account Management for CSX Technology and Enterprise Integration. Despite the fast-paced day job, Julie still found time to moonlight as a singer at a wide variety of events around the country. In 1999, Julie married Naval Officer Tim Winter, making him the luckiest man on earth. In December of 2001, the Julie and Tim show was joined by a third member, daughter Neely, which greatly expanded her repertoire of songs but also limited the road engagements. Having played out all the venues in Jacksonville in her seven years there, Julie’s next stop was Annapolis, MD.
Trading in her high heels and long hours in the IT world for a pair of running shoes and even longer hours in the parenting world, Julie’s career change was met with two new additions to the stage crew, Grady in 2004 and Carly in 2008. Now only doing limited engagements at local venues when her stage hands don’t need chauffeuring to various sporting and dance events, Julie also enjoys running road races, photography, volunteering at her children’s school and hanging out with her friends and family as much as possible.
