Class of 1984
Fannie Hobba Shenk is a Major Gift Officer in the Office of Advancement at Washington College. Since 2009, Fannie has lived in Chestertown, Maryland on Water Street with her two daughters, Madison (17) and Chastain (20). She’s especially proud that her oldest daughter, Chastain, is currently a junior studying Political Science at WC. Fannie’s job entails travelling to visit with friends of the College and alumni of all ages. She most enjoys hearing stories about the alums experiences at WC. “Everyone I speak to thinks their class had a better time than any other class before or after them,” she says. “I love that. It shows WC makes every student feel that it’s all about them, but I really think the Class of ’84 definitely had the best time of any class ever!”
Fannie is very excited to be on the Alumni Weekend committee representing the Class of ’84. She wants all her classmates to feel free to contact her with any questions or suggestions for their 30th reunion and most importantly, to plan on coming this May 30-June 1.
