Jay Young

Class of 1981

Mr. Young is a Principal in the Bel Air law firm of Brown, Brown and Young, and a member of the College’s Board of Visitors and Governors.

Founded in 1901, the firms enjoys the highest rating given by the Martindale and Hubbell Law Directory and is listed in the prestigious Bar Register which includes in its membership only preeminent firms. His practice is concentrated in Harford County in the area of business, real property; land use, estate planning and estate administration. He enjoys the distinction of planning and administering many of the largest estates probated in Harford County as well as some of the most significant residential and commercial projects developed in the County. Also active in land preservation, Mr. Young is a Board member and Vice President of The Manor Conservancy, a private land trust that has negotiated and obtained perpetual preservation easements on over 20,000 contiguous acres of property. The Harford County Executive named him Preservationist of the Year in 2005.
