Major/Minor: Spanish Language and Literature
After more than 35 years in education, Linda retired as Supervisor of Bilingual/ESL Education in Camden, NJ. Throughout her career, she was a strong advocate for the rights and responsibilities of the English Language Learners. Additionally, she was very active in the state professional organization and served as Treasurer of NJTESOL/NJBE and Chairperson of the annual South Jersey Bilingual/ESL conference.
Linda has been a long-time Washington College volunteer. She has served as Class Agent ever since her graduation and was a member of the Washington Fund Committee. In 2012, she accepted the George Washington trophy on behalf of her very generous classmates. She also represented WC at many college fairs, was co-chair of the South Jersey Alumni Chapter in the ’90s and formerly served as Secretary of the Alumni Board.
Linda earned a BA in Spanish Language and Literature from Washington College and a Master’s degree in Spanish from Middlebury College in Vermont. She has lived and studied in Madrid, Spain and has traveled extensively throughout the US and the world. She has been a member of the 1782 Society for many years.
