When the College administration went in search of a proven leader in education who could connect with alumni and breathe new life into the alumni program, they found the ideal candidate in Lorraine Kenton Polvinale ’69.
The alumni council president is now assistant vice president for alumni relations. Polvinale, previously the assistant head of school and head of the upper school at Garrison Forest School in Owings Mills, MD, demonstrated exceptional commitment to the College as a volunteer.
In addition to her work on the Council, she served on the Strategic Planning Committee, as well as the Alumni Association Task Force that redesigned the alumni volunteer organization. Polvinale graduated from WC with a degree in Spanish literature and earned the M.Ed. degree from Loyola College in Baltimore. Her husband, Tom ’70, and daughter Cristina ’98, share her enthusiasm for WC.
