Ann Hosmer

Class of 1965

Ann Hosmer ‘65 received her BA in English in 1965 and an MA in Science Education from University of Northern Colorado in 1972. In 1983 she received her CLU (Charted Life Underwriter) designation as a life insurance professional.

Ann has fifteen years of experience teaching public school in three Maryland school systems and eighteen years in the private practice of financial services. In 1989 Ann created the Power/Excel Foundation, Inc, a non-profit 501(c)3, organization dedicated to helping youth and adults re-entering their communities develop skills to rebuild their lives. A seasoned trainer, Ann specializes in interactive training to improve worker performance for non-profit and for profit businesses.

Ann is currently living in Federal Hill, Baltimore with her two cats, Calvin and Spencer. Having enjoyed many years as a tri-athlete swimming, biking, and running in events around the country,she now works out with her thoroughbred gelding, OuttatheBlue (aka Blue) in the equestrian disciplines of dressage and eventing.
