Albert Richard Rayne

Class of 1960

Retiring after practicing dentistry for 38½ years and surviving a bout with prostate cancer in 2002, Al took on the challenge of starting the “Man To Man” prostate cancer support, education and awareness organization in Wicomico and Somerset Counties.

A member of the advocacy program of the American Cancer Society, he also does volunteer work for the local ACS division. He also works at local soup kitchens with fellow members of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, has been a choir member for many years, and helps with other programs at the church. In his spare time he is a caregiver for an elderly aunt whose 100th birthday her family will celebrate in July. Al’s four children and grandsons live in London, California, Florida, and Washington, DC, and he wishes he could visit them more often.
