Class of 1960
A career in business enabled Bob Eissele to travel extensively.
The first half of a 35-year career in retailing was spent traveling extensively in Europe and Asia for Stewart & Co. and then Woodward & Lothrop as a home furnishing buyer. Staying closer to home in later years, assignments included participating in the management of various malls in and around the Washington/Baltimore area as well as recruiting on college campuses. After retailing, a 5-year position in accounts payable at the Rouse Company in Columbia, MD rounded out the years until retirement.
Married to Alice since 1963 and raising two children who eventually married and settled in the area, the years since retirement have been filled with sporting events, concerts and babysitting four grandchildren. Favorite avocation is singing in the Christ Lutheran Church Inner Harbor Choir while Alice’s recent retirement has enabled more frequent travel.
