Warren DeFrank

After my four years at Washington College and a short stint in the Army, I traveled, studied and worked extensively in Europe for three years where I managed to earn sufficient graduate credits from the Sorbonne and Alliance Francaise in Paris and the University of Munich in Germany to earn a MA and to be able to start teaching. In Munich I also worked at the youth hostel and on the assembly line in the BMW factory making the 1963 models. After earning a second MA in Education from Fairfield University, I taught German and French on the high school level (with one year teaching at the University of Connecticut) in Redding Connecticut. Being a teacher gave me the summers to travel and I returned to Europe almost every summer to study and visit friends that I had made when I was a student there.I retired in 1998, sold my house in Connecticut and moved full-time to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
