Peter D. Davenport – Mr. Davenport is Vice President of Marketing for Arthur H. Thomas Company.
The company distributes scientific equipment and laboratory supplies. The privately held company has estimated annual sales of $70 million and employs approximately 350 staff. Mr. Davenport is a Board Member and Chair of the Membership Committee of the Laboratory Products Association.
Mr. Davenport is Executive and trustee of the Davenport Family Foundation. The foundation reported 2011 total assets of $50 million and made gifts for the year of over $2 million primarily to organizations in the greater Delaware Valley. In his other volunteer affiliations, Mr. Davenport is a member of the Birmingham Township Planning Committee, a trustee of the Stroud Water Research Center, a Board member of the Brandywine River Museum and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Mr. Davenport and his wife, Sylvia, earned their undergraduate degrees from Tufts University in 1959. They are the parents of three grown children (Scott, Cynthia, and Sandra) and reside in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania.
