Julia is a student of ecology focused on understanding the interactions between humans and all of the organisms that surround us.

With majors in Biology and Environmental Science and minors in Chemistry and German Studies, Julia’s focus is on studying and conserving our natural resources. With plenty of experience in field and laboratory experiments, Julia is excited to learn new ways of working with food and pushing the boundaries of what is considered “normal.” She is also excited to step out of her comfort zone and learn more about the human connection to our resources, rather than strictly the science behind fermentation, bread, jams, and everything else that we can produce!
