I’ve always loved to explore different foods, ingredients, and cooking techniques. It probably stems from the fact that I had a lot of childhood food allergies, so we ate a lot of alternate version of familiar foods, like gluten-free pasta. As I grew older, I started experimenting with cooking my own foods—and I never stopped.

In my cooking, I like to work with natural ingredients and fresh herbs, spices, and vegetables, going from garden to cooking to plate as quickly as possible. You can see some of what I’ve been cooking recently by checking out my Instagram account, @rowleyharv.

At Washington College I’m an Economics major with a minor in Accounting and Finance—but working with a mortar and pestle or cooking outdoors are still my favorite ways to spend time.
